These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of aipromptscatalogue.com (the “Site”), operated by AI Prompts Catalogue (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. The service
The Site is a free catalogue of prompts, agent skills, custom agents and rules files for AI tools (together, “prompts”). You can browse, search, copy and download prompts without an account. Members can share prompts after their account is approved.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 10 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may only create an account with the permission of your parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
- You must give accurate information, keep your password secure and tell us if you believe your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- New accounts must confirm their email address and are approved at our discretion. We may refuse, suspend or close accounts, for example if they break these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
- You can close your account at any time from My account or by contacting us.
3. Content you share
- You may only submit prompts that you created or otherwise have the right to share, and that follow our Community Guidelines.
- Prompts are meant to be copied and reused. By submitting a prompt, you dedicate it to the public domain under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal dedication, so that anyone, including us, can copy, use, adapt and publish it for any purpose without asking permission. If that dedication is not effective where you live, you give everyone a free, worldwide, permanent licence to do the same.
- You confirm that your submission does not infringe anyone’s rights and does not contain personal information about other people.
- We review submissions before they are published. We may edit titles, descriptions, categories and tags, and we may decline or remove any content at our discretion. Your display name is shown on prompts you publish.
4. Content from other sources
Part of the catalogue comes from openly licensed collections created by others. That content remains subject to its original licence, which we identify on each prompt where required and on our Sources and licences page. Example images are shown under their own licences, credited under each image.
5. Using prompts and AI outputs
- Prompts are provided for general information and inspiration. Results from AI tools can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Check outputs before relying on them.
- Nothing on the Site is medical, legal, financial, psychological or other professional advice, even when a prompt asks an AI to act as a professional. Consult a qualified person for advice about your situation.
- When you use a prompt in a third-party AI tool, that tool’s own terms and policies apply. You are responsible for how you use prompts and their outputs, including complying with the law and the rights of others.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights through the Site;
- upload malware, spam or content that breaks our Community Guidelines;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the Site, other accounts or our systems, or interfere with the Site’s security or operation;
- overload the Site or get around rate limits, for example by high-volume automated requests, without our written permission;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection with anyone.
7. Our content and trademarks
The Site’s design, code, logo, category structure and original text belong to AI Prompts Catalogue, apart from content that belongs to others and is used under licence. You may use prompts as described in sections 3 and 4, but you may not copy the Site’s design or present the Site as your own.
8. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, please follow the steps on our Copyright and Takedown page.
9. Links to other services
The Site links to third-party websites and services, such as AI tools and the sources of openly licensed content. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
10. Availability and changes
We provide the Site free of charge and may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time. We aim to keep the Site available and secure but cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranties about the Site or any prompt, and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your use of prompts, AI outputs or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the South African Consumer Protection Act, UK consumer law or the consumer law of your EU country of residence.
12. Ending your use
You may stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as sections 3, 5, 11 and 13, continue after your account is closed.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If you live in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim in its courts. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern informally.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let members know by email. If you keep using the Site after changes take effect, the updated Terms apply.
