There is no shortage of AI prompts online. The problem is finding a good one. Most collections are long lists or giant documents: hard to search, full of duplicates and vague about what each prompt actually does. We built AI Prompts Catalogue to fix that. It is a free library that works like a well-organised shop: everything has a place, search is instant and every prompt is ready to copy.
What is inside
At launch the catalogue holds more than 6,000 prompts, and each one is sorted by what it helps you do:
- 2,600+ text prompts for chat assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, from writing emails to planning projects.
- 1,500+ agent skills: instruction files that teach AI agents a specific job. Our guide What are agent skills? explains how they work.
- 840+ custom agents and 440 rules files for AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and Cursor.
- 730+ image prompts for tools like Midjourney, Nano Banana and ChatGPT, many with an example of the image they produce.
- Video and audio prompts, plus prompts in 14 languages.
Everything sits in one of 13 categories, such as Writing & Content, Marketing & Sales, Coding & Development and Education & Learning, and each category is split into smaller collections, so you can go from “marketing” to “cold emails” in two clicks.
Find the right prompt in seconds
You can reach every prompt in three ways:
- Search from anywhere. Press / or Ctrl + K on any page and start typing. Results appear as you type, and close matches still turn up if you misspell something.
- Browse and filter. The browse page lets you filter by category, type, AI tool and language, then sort by popularity, newest or A to Z. Counts update live, so you never click into an empty page.
- Explore by category. The categories page shows every collection at a glance.
Fill in the blanks, then copy
More than 850 prompts have fill-in fields for the details that change each time, like your topic, audience or tone. Type your answers and the prompt updates in front of you, so it is ready to paste the moment you copy it. Try it on Write an Email, or read how fill-in prompts work.
Short prompts can also be opened straight in ChatGPT or Claude with one click, and skills, agents and rules files can be downloaded as ready-to-use files.
Free, open and private
You never need an account to browse, search or copy. We do not show ads or use advertising cookies, and we only use analytics if you allow it. Whatever you type into fill-in fields stays in your browser.
Much of the catalogue comes from collections that the AI community has shared under open licences. We only include collections whose licence allows reuse, and we credit the source, author and licence on every prompt that needs it. Read how we find, check and credit prompts for the details.
Share your own prompts
Have a prompt that always delivers? Create a free account, confirm your email address and, once our team has approved your account, submit prompts from the Submit a prompt page. A person reviews every submission before it goes live, and your name appears on the prompts you share.
What comes next
We will keep adding collections, example images and guides like the ones on this blog. If there is a prompt you could not find, a category you would like or something that does not work the way you expect, tell us. We read every message.
